2023 Silent Auction at the Teachers' Conference Weekend and Summer School
Donations Wanted for In-Person Silent Auction!
As part of TCW and Summer School, we will be holding an in-person Silent Auction supporting TAC. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will support TAC's Bobby Brown Music Apprenticeship Fund. We would be very grateful if you would consider donating an item(s) to the in-person Silent Auction held during the TCW Weekend and Summer School, July 28 to August 3, 2023.
Silent Auction items could include hand-made items, gently used and vintage clothes, especially items appropriate for SCD (cleaned and in good condition, please!); novelties ranging from fun and quirky to fabulous; Scottish-themed dishes, scarves, books, artwork; and anything in between. Gift cards to places such as Tim Hortons, Starbucks, etc., would be popular too.
Are you crafty? Do you have a special skill that you could teach on Zoom? This could be anything from a craft (sewing, art or ??) or a baking lesson to a dance or music lesson, or "how to repair a ??"
In 2019 and 2021, speciality baking was a runaway hit -- any baking enthusiasts out there? You can also consider non-tangible items such as a dance or a tune devised for the event or someone special.

Please complete the form with details of the item you plan to donate, so I know what you will be bringing to Halifax, and send your completed form to me by July 20, 2023, to allow time to prepare for the Auction. You can also use the form to donate money in lieu of an item to support TAC's Bobby Brown Music Apprenticeship Fund.

How often have you arrived at an away event and wished you had a few supplies to get you through until you could get to a shop?
Members of the Nova Scotia Branch will put together a small bag of “goodies” for you, and it will be ready and available at the registration desk when you arrive for either TCW or Summer School. The cost is $20, and all profits will be transferred directly to the TAC General Fund. This Arrival Kit includes things like tea, coffee, sugar, cream, milk, fruit, juice, chocolate, cookies, crackers, cheese, yoghurt, hummus, and salty snacks. The picture is to give you an idea of what will be included, but the contents may vary slightly.
