On Saturday, November 16, 2024, the TAC Education Committee will host a Zoom forum led by Ron Wallace. This discussion will focus on “working with multiple skill levels in one class.” The forum starts Saturday afternoon at 12:00 PT, 1:00 MT, 2:00 CT, 3:00 ET, 4:00 AT, 4:30 NT.
One of the primary goals of the Education Committee is to set up a mentorship forum for dancers who have recently completed an RSCDS training program. TAC wants to connect with any teacher or instructor who has passed their Teaching Certificate Part 1 or Teaching Certificate Part 2 or received a Letter of Proficiency through the CTI program. The Education Committee is working on creating an opportunity to meet online where newer teachers and instructors can ask questions, share thoughts and ideas, and tap into the wisdom of more experienced teachers. Although this event is particularly focused on newly minted SCD teachers and instructors, all those teaching SCD are invited to attend.

We are happy to announce that there are a limited number of BALL tickets available for the Summer School Ball this year. Register now to purchase as they will only be available for the next two weeks.
The Ball will take place at Brock University at the Walker Sports Complex on the evening of Saturday, August 3, 2024. We expect to arrive from the banquet at approximately 7:30 pm. At this time, there are no tickets available for the banquet.
Tickets are $50 each.
How many times have you arrived at an away event and wished that you had a few supplies to get you through until you could get to a shop?
The Local Hospitality team will put together a small bag of “goodies” for you, and it will be ready and available at the registration desk when you arrive for either TCW or Summer School. The cost is $20, and all profits will be transferred directly to the TAC General Fund. This bag of goodies will include things like tea, coffee, sugar, fruit, juice, chocolate, cookies, crackers, cheese, and salty snacks.
Deadline for ordering kits is July 15, 2024

Silent auction + Live Auction
at Summer School 2024
Donations Wanted for Silent Auction!
NEW!! Live Auction during Friday Ceilidh!
Once again, we will hold an in-person Silent Auction for TAC. NEW this year: We will hold a Live Auction during the Friday night Ceilidh. Proceeds from both Auctions will support TAC's Bobby Brown Music Apprenticeship Fund.
We would be very grateful if you would consider donating item(s) to the Auctions that will be held during the TCW Weekend and Summer School, July 26 to August 4, 2024.
SILENT AUCTION
Silent Auction items could include hand-made items; gently used and/or vintage clothes, especially items appropriate for SCD (cleaned and in good condition, please!); novelties ranging from fun and quirky to fabulous; Scottish-themed dishes, scarves, books, artwork; and anything in between. Gift cards to Tim Hortons, Starbucks, and similar would be popular too.
Are you crafty? Do you have a special skill that you could teach on Zoom?
You can also consider donating non-tangible items such as a dance or a tune devised for someone special.
LIVE AUCTION
Do you have a very special item that would be perfect for the Live Auction? A vacation home/timeshare, a stunning hand-crafted item, or a rare tipple (an exclusive bottle of Scotch or similar?) would be perfect examples.
We have created an Auction Donation Form to make it easy to donate your items.
You can download the donation form here. Donor Contribution Form
Use this link to download rules covering auction bidding.
Please complete the Donation Form with details of the item you plan to donate so I know what you will bring to Brock U.
Please send me your completed form by July 20, 2024, to allow time to prepare for the Auctions. You can also use the form to donate money in lieu of an item to support TAC's Bobby Brown Music Apprenticeship Fund.
